I have a background in biological science, Spanish, program development, community mental health, rehabilitative massage therapy, and creating and executing adaptive curriculum. I thrive on redefining limitations as challenges and finding creative solutions.

My most recent project was a collaboration with a yoga instructor to design a class that was safe for persons with upper extremity injuries. We presented a poster on this topic at the 2017 ASHT meeting.

My graduate program focused on interdisciplinary projects including creating a piece of assistive technology with industrial design students, and redesigning a homeless center with architectural students. I was able to co-present the project with the industrial design students at the annual conference of the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Society, and was elected Student Delegate for the annual conference of the AOTA. Lastly, I was a fieldwork level I supervisor for an OTA student.

As well as more traditional education, I went to the Dominican Republic to take Medical Spanish classes that included a week of working in Spanish with an occupational therapy in a large hospital. After my time there I went to Haiti to do home visits for persons with TB and whom are HIV+ . While there I used a modified OPHI that I had translated to Haitian Kreyol to try to determine where gaps in treatments and long term planning may be, as well as clearly defining barriers in the environment. I hope to return to Haiti to continue with this project, and would welcome advice or a partner.

I am currently working in a private hand therapy clinic in San Francisco, and I am very happy with how much I am learning and growing as a clinician. I am available for part time or project based work.
